Photographer's Note

One of my favourite places to visit when down at the coast is Walvis Bay. Not for what the town has to offer, which isn’t much, but a drive past the lagoon takes you to the salt works where a series of manmade salt evaporation ponds are pumped with sea water. The ground is flat and salt encrusted and on a misty day all can look rather dull and grey but on a sunny day the colours of the plankton ladened water is amazing and the crusty salt is pale pink or snow white. I have posted pictures of this location before, this one shows a wider view.
