Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My photograph, this morning, shows a ford at Upper Slaughter. Yes, Gert, there is an Upper Slaughter as well as a Lower Slaughter. The view looks much clearer in the larger format seen here.

According to the dictionary, a ford is a shallow place in a river or stream allowing one to walk or drive across.

This ford has a special attraction because it was surrounded by grasses and produced fine reflections of the nearby, old building. The dry weather meant that the stream was not running swiftly, allowing for reflections.

Of course, you know me, I love shadows, too, and the nearby tree was giving a pretty, dappling effect to the road.

I will add another view of the village as a workshop.

Have a good day, Bev :-)
