Tarquinia acquedotto, a photo from Viterbo, Lazio

Poco fuori Tarquinia, andando verso Viterbo, si vedono sbucare i resti di un acquedotto che attraversa le campagne, l'effetto è sorprendente e piacevole.
La costruzione viene attribuita, erroneamente, ai romani, in realtà si tratta di un'opera settecentesca, ma utilizzando la tecnica dei romani.

Ciao Carlo,peccato che la meta' dell'acquedotto fosse in ombra al momento dello scatto,altrimenti avresti fatto poker,la composizione è stupenda,grandissimi i dettagli ovuqnue,il grano tagliato coi suoi colori ha creato una monocromia da sfracello,davvero bella!! Buona Domenica,Luciano

Ciao Carlo. A lasting tribute to Roman inspired engineering beautifully set in this golden field.The distant POV shows us the partial span of the aqueduct and makes us wonder where it began and where it ended.

Carissimo Carluccio

Grazie a te, siamo andati a Tarquinia, dopo aver incontrato la bella famiglia Carluccio Non mi ricordo questo acquedotto, ma il paesino é un vero Tesoro. Stupendo il tuo soggetto, i colori Dorati e blu. La prospettiva e grafismo sono meravigliosi. hai catturato un gran bel colpo di occhio.

Wonderful endless golden fields. Impressive view of the aqueduct, partly in sun and partly in shadow. Fantastic great perspective. You had an interesting excursion yesterday, full of historical monuments of first class.

Hello Carlo,
I like very much the colors of this picture, their warm tones enhanced by the afternoon sun made the whole view really pretty. The viaduct running through the fields is an interesting piece of architecture and fron what one can see quite well preserved too. Nicely composed and well presented.

A minimalist composition of the highest order. The aqueduct makes a fine focal point and serves to divide the image into two distinct parts. Beautiful warm light and colours. Superb clarity.

Hello dear Carlo - golden fields and the harvest completed, the land can rest until the next planting. What a wonderful scene; the ancient aqueduct brought water to those who tilled the land and here the connection between water and food production down the ages and still pivotal.
