Photographer's Note

This view from the top of the tower at City Hall in Siena shows the Campanile, and the dome of the Duomo. The Baptistery is the building to the right of the dome, and the cathedral itself stretches out behind and to the left, behind the Campanile. To the left of the dome you can see another wall of black and white stone; at one point there was a plan to hugely expand the cathedral; that wall is pretty much what remains of that effort once it was abandoned.

The roofs and building architecture you see here is typical of Siena (and of most of the historical hill towns).

Extremely great city scape shot taken from a very well selected high POV. The view with so many interesting elements and fantastic bell tower looks very attractive and unique. Like it a lot. Perfectly executed image. TFS.

what a lovely town!
the photo opportunities here must be endless.
the dome, the tower, the rustic buildings along the bottom, the window shutters...it goes on and on.
all of those subjects are perfectly photographed here in your scene.

Siena is a wonderful city . We can see here a famous view of teh roofs , with the attractive sqaure tower and teh dom of the cathedral .

Very unique and very beautiful view of this classic cathedral, I can say I have never seen it from this angle before. I really like how it is almost a sea of tiles presented in the foreground, and a really fine expansive backdrop, of course the architecture of the cathedral makes a perfect subject.

Beautiful shot from a great POV, Dad - and the colors on the roofs are amazing; the yellow really stands out here, while the cathedral itself towers over it all nicely. Great textures and colors brought out here.

osservando le foto scattate in Italia, tutte notevoli e molto curate, sono rimasto colpito anche da questa che ritrae i tetti di Siena e il suo magnifico Duomo.
Mi piace soprattutto per il taglio verticale che si addice molto bene allo scatto e per la bella resa del colore che rende molto bene i colori della città.
Una bella foto dalla composizione perfetta per la quale ti faccio i miei complimenti
