Photographer's Note

This statue is located in Kandal province of Cambodia. Take National Road 21 straight For about 50km and then take a ferry. The name if this temple is Wat Toul Reachea. The compound of the temple is imitated from the Angkor architecture. The person who started this temple is believed to be a reborn famous Khmer literature scholar, Samdach Sang or King of the Monk, Chhoun Natt. He believes that the whole world will be all gone and this is THE place where people will be saved and recreated. He gains his popularity since, probably, around 2005. People from all over the country flock there, mostly elderly Cambodians, one of them is my mother :)

There is a rumor that this person will build the other bigger Buddha statue as high as 150 meters. This statue in this picture is 120 meters in height.
