Photographer's Note
Already in the nineteenth century the rows of poplar, in particular of Poplar nigra (Black Poplar), connoted the rural landscape of the Po Valley; wood, light and clear, was used to make clogs, furniture, boxes and planks.
In the thirties of the twentieth century, modern poplar cultivation was born, based on the use of rapidly growing clones, selected for the production of paper; But poplar wood soon became a strategic material to replace other raw materials lacking at national level, also for military purposes (the construction of the aircraft used by Italy in the Second World War); the development of the Italian plywood industry thus began. In recent years there has been a noticeable decline in crops of this type, due to low earnings and long waiting times.
PIOPPICOLTURA

Something to bark about here and has more reasons to explore it. I like the light and dark contrasts and the patterns created with nice abstract effect. Well done shot.

I never knew the name to those trees, butbremember seeing many groves around the Lombardia valleies when traveled in the north of Italia, Luciano.
Now I learnt a new name for those. TE mission par-excellence.
Well managed the light through, distinct clarity as well.
Saluti, e grazie per le critique.

Ciao Luciano
Effective tight framing with amazing repetition of the poplars and the vertical patterns of their trunks. You can never have too many trees. They give off oxygen which people need to breathe. Tfs!

Hello Luciano,
A very original but beautiful composition, accompanied by an interesting note. The trees grow so tightly that the effect is almost like an abstract painting. It's a different kind of TE photo but I like it very much.
Kind regards,

Hello Luciano
Great composition with the strong verticals of the trunks of the poplar and the criss-cross lines of the branches. I know that this is an image that inspired a lot of painters for some fascinating painters.
Excellent presentation. Have a nice day, groet Rob

Simple and that is why so appealing image at all.
There is so much implication and also very artstic touch shot. Nice and bold cropping makes so wonderful output as such.

Gostei do resultado final.

Ciao Luciano,
Gran foto, caro amico.
Un abbraccio,
Josep

Ciao Luciano,
The simplicity of this scene is what makes it so beautiful. Bare tree branches have an artistic quality to them, and having so many bare trees packed so tightly together creates something unique and eye-catching.

I just love this photo. Never seen anything like that - trees that look like an abstract geometrical painting. It's really amazing. I wonder what this will look like in two months after the leaves appear.

Hello Luciano
I`ve missed this one in your gallert. Excellent photo of these fast growing trees. The high density, the long trunks and the high number of branches all comes together and create a very artistic and graphical photo. Excellent work:) TFS.

Ciao Luciano,
Buona domenica
