Photographer's Note

It was a bit cloudy in the afternoon . My pick was SOHO(South of Houston Street) in Manhattan, New York City. SOHO is bounded by Houston Street on the North, Canal Street on the South, Lafayette and Center Street on the East and West Broadway on the West. SoHo has the greatest collection of cast iron architecture in the world. One can see many colorful buildings with different architectures. One day is not enough to go through this colorful neighborhood.

Hello Lakshmi,

The oblique view and vertical format fit well for this decor. There is an eye catching separation of colors. I like the architecture of the windows of the building at right. Very good colors with good light and excellent sharpness.

You have caught the strong graphical effect of the brick fronts, their colors, and the iron stairs so typical of NY, in an attractive and elegant composition.

I like the bold tilt and colours that shows us this interesting architecture. There are some lovely shadows playing on the brickwork.

I really like the diagonal composition which you've used in this photo. The diagonal line not only strikes a difference betwern the colours of the two buildings, but also reflects the contrast between the old and the modernbuilding.
