Photographer's Note

Thursday, 9th June was Lanimer Day in Lanark and in the morning people wait in the High Street in eager anticipation of seeing the pipe bands, the processions and the crowning of the Lanimer Queen.

You can read more about the Lanimer tradition in Lanark here but I was more intrigued by this little girl who was trying to make sure that she was going to have a good view of the event!

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE9.
