As industry, the commerce, a manufacturing industry, and agriculture are developed with sufficient balance. It is an alluvial plain which belongs to Kanto Plain, and it is physiographically inserted into Tone river at the northernmost end and Arakawa on the south. And, there is surrounded ny Chichibu mountain range in west and Mount Akagi in north. Moreover, the maximum output about high temperature and intense heat is observed here also in the whole country in summer. This is considered to be because for the hot wind warmed by the heat island effect of the center of Tokyo and the hot wind from the Chichibu mountain range heated by the foehn phenomena to cross near the sky of the city. This photograph was taken towards the direction of Mount Akagi from on the bridge near the station.
