Photographer's Note

It is a style of the circuit style garden in typical Japan to arrange the pond at the center of the garden, to make the road in the surroundings, to plant trees, and to make a slightly elevated mountain.
Scenic spots etc. of various places were compactly reproduced by such a technique.

The philosophy to this garden is designed for 500 years, is laid out a garden by the feudal lord in the samurai society, and has arrived as a compilation of the Japanese garden now. It might be useful to understand the sensibility and the idea of the Japanese to nature when such a background is understood.

This photograph is the one having taken it in the backyard of "Toukaku-ji" temple that is one of the Yanaka seven gods of good fortune.
