Photographer's Note

If you want to know why I gave this title to my post, please look at THIS PHOTO by Adramad. The tiny temple to the left of the boulder is the one through which I took my picture. I had to lie down on the rock for that :-)

Virupaksha temple is the main centre of pilgrimage at Hampi. It's fully intact among the surrounding ruins. It's dedicated to Lord Siva known here as Virupaksha.
The tower you can see through the "eye of the needle" is the main gateway to the temple complex, and is also the highest GOPURAM at 50m, with 9 tiers.
I didn't know if all these storeys were just decorative, or if you could climb up inside ! I always like to climb up towers:-) but Angshu told me it's just decorative, so I will never be able to climb to the top :-(

HERE , you can have a look at Pauloog's picture in an amazing POV, which I missed unfortunately.
in WS4, is the photographer taking the picture :-)
Then, WS2 and WS1 will show you a closer look of the grandiose GOPURAM.
