Photographer's Note

Back to my favourite theme, one of the small lakes in Nuuksio National Park. This lake has been one of my favourite hiking destinations since a teenager. This time I was there with my wife to pick blueberries. The temperature was a comfortable 20 °C when we started our walk in the morning and went up to 24 °C when we returned to hour car 5 hours later. A small breeze cooled down a bit, so the weather was quite good for hiking and berry picking. This photo was taken on the way to our destination.

The lake in my photo is 300 metres long, not very deep, but it has a rocky bottom and clear water opposite to many other smaller lakes in Nuuksio, which have peat bogs around them. The small island you see in the middle is reserved for camping. A small wooden footbridge leads to the island.
