Photographer's Note

This is part representative of La Mancha lands...

The term "Corral de Almaguer" is a noun compound toponym corral next to the add Almaguer, former name of the town.

Poultry origin is uncertain, although it is likely to come from the Latin meaning curral where cars are stored and subsequently happen to designate where the cavalry is enclosed. The actual meaning of the term, closed site and discovered, at home or in the field, which is used to save animals, is likely to be the origin of the name.

The term "Almaguer" comes from the Arabic al-Magid, meaning the irrigation canal.
