Photographer's Note

The Palacio Canton was built in the years 1909 - 1911 for General Francisco Canton Rosado, a former Governor of the Yucatan. It is located on the Paseo, the west side, at the intersection with Calle 43. It supposedly houses a collection of artifacts for the Regional Anthropology and History Museum. While it costs MX$35 for admission, there is nothing worthwhile for viewing. I have a note that my tour took about 5 minutes. There is a small bookshop on the premises in which I spent some time and from which I purchased a number of items.
