Photographer's Note

A small area to the northwest of the church, at the corners of Calles 60 and 57A, has been set aside as a parkette dedicated to motherhood and mothers. These Parques de la Madre are found in many of the towns throughout the Yucatan. The shade and the benches furnish a respite from the heat of the day and provide a venue where one may sit and shmooze with a friend, or even offer merchandise for sale to passersby.
