Photographer's Note

This is the dwelling (remains thereof) of an ordinary Maya family located in one of the residential areas just to the south of sacbé 1 and immediately to the west of the white road shown in yesterday's upload. The latter reappears in the background. The stones, coarse and large, comprise the molding for the bamboo-like walls. Their layout gives a size of 6.2 metres x 3.24 metres, and the shape is oval. The doorway, complete with jambs, was to the south, i.e. to the right in the photograph, but not directly visible.
