Photographer's Note

The gate is missing but the posts remain. Cattle would have entered from left to right into the enclosure. (There is another set of gateposts on the north side of the corral - now tourists enter.) A worker or two would have climbed the steps, part of the posts, so as to see better, and tally the numbers. This is in the Central Plaza just to the east of the cenote. In the background, there is Edificio 44, used for administrative and ceremonial purposes. Great weather that day and every day I was in the Yucatan!
