Taken at the Mayan ruins in Tulum this photo is of The
House of Columns (The Great Palace).
One of the most complex structures at the Tulum site it is palace-like with 4 rooms whose main entrance is to the south. Shaped like an "L," there are 6 columns that support the roof of the main room as well as a shrine. The eastern side of this building is open towards the sea.
This Mayan city is the only one on the coast and has a man made stone wall on three sides of the city. The fourth side of the 'wall' happens to be the Caribbean Sean
