Photographer's Note

Immediately to the right (east) of the fašade of fretwork on level 3 is the Hall of Audience (my label). At the top of a dozen steps rests the Throne of Venus (next upload). I climbed the steps very carefully, two cameras in hand, and wary of the width, variability in other dimensions, and need for bodily support. It brought to mind the posture and attitude one had to take when appearing in the presence of a Mughal Emperor. There is a vault beneath the staircase. I believe staff would be able to pass through and around without obstructing the view of either the great ruler or any audience on the ground looking up.
