Photographer's Note

Temple XIII shares the same base as and immediately to the east of Temple XII. There is nothing worthwhile viewing at the top so it is fortunate that fairly recently a tomb, complete with sarcophagus and offerings, was uncovered near the front. This is generally the first stop for visitors anxious to experience Palenque and its Grand Plaza.
