Photographer's Note

This is the right side of Altar 5 in the grounds of the Parque-Museo La Venta in Villahermosa. On this face, there are two seated men in elaborate headdresses each holding a child with a deformed head in the Olmec fashion. The tradition, started thousands of years ago by the Mesoamericans, in sculpture and ceramics continues to this day, enriching the experience of visitors to the area.
