Photographer's Note

The Pyramid of the Sun is the largest building in Teotihuacan, and one of the largest in Mesoamerica. It is believed to have been constructed about 200 AD. Found along the Avenue of the Dead, in between the Pyramid of the Moon (where was the photo taken) and the Ciudadela, and in the shadow of the mountain Cerro Gordo, the pyramid is part of a large complex in the heart of the city. Below are some buildings on the square of the moon.

Hello Lucas,
These buildings are truly fascinating, especially the large pyramid in the background, but for this photo the most fascinating sight are the many tiny persons climbing the steep, huge wall. It may look an easy climb from this distance, but I am sure it's a very tough exercise and not suitable for anyone with a fear of heights. You found a very good angle for this photo, and I like how the blueish mountain forms such a perfect background. The field of green grass and trees make an equally fine foreground.

Hello Lucas,

The crowd of people climbing the largest pyramid in the bg provide scale. The 3 fg step pyramids add depth and layering to the composition. Good sharpness and pov. Tfs!

Archeological splendour of the ancient civilizations; Beautiful viewpoint with the three lower pyramids in the foreground stabilsed the composition nicely. The tiny people on their way up to the top illustrates the sheer size. Wonderful subject matter and very well photographed

Hello Lucas,
This is an impressive sight. The people are so small; they look like an army of tiny ants marching up to the top of the pyramid. In contrast, the smaller structures in the foreground have no people at all. Take care!

The composition is well divided, the sky the mountain and the pyramid. The point of view is showing the details of the Pyramid of the Sun. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hello Lucas,
Amazing place! I was there in 1989.
I remember it was a long climb to the top of the pyramid and that at the altitude of Teotihuacan.
Impressive scene. Taken from a good point of view with the three smaller constructions in the foreground.

I climbed on top of the Pyramid of the Moon BUT I haven't been wise enough to remark such a sensational tridimensional quintet, including the mountain!
The Lilliputians climbing the Pyramid of the Sun give a neat impression of its size.

I don't recall ever hearing about this structure.
It looks so very impressive, dwarfing the other pyramids which are big already.

uma vista muito bonita das famosas pirâmides. acho que não tinha visto ainda uma imagem desse ponto de vista. muito boa a qualidade da foto e a vista das formigas no topo. haha. tinha vontade de conhecer o méxico, só ainda não fui por medo da violência.

Hello Lucas, I have never seen this pyramid before, what an amazing sight. From this point of view, the many people look like ants!
I like the way that the pyramid is backed by the mountains.
The truncated pyramids in the foreground are interesting too.

I find these buildings quite fascinating!
Though the shapes have a similarity to those in Egypt, they had a different purpose.
The trio of small pyramids make an interesting f/g, before we move that in the b/g, which is truly colossal!

Oi Luca, Excelente vista do templo do Sol em Teotihuacan. Era meu sonho ver isso. Eu estive lá em 2001, na era pré digital, infelizmente. Divertido ver as pequenas figuras subindo na pirâmide. Eu também escalei, é claro. E muitas outras pirâmides no México e na Guatemala também. Alguns deles eram bastante altos. Composição legal.

Despues de un periodo de vacaciones, de nuevo estoy con vosotros, necesitaba viajar a cualquier lugar, de momento en mi pais y he pasado una semana en la playa, en Almuñecar (Andalucia) y otra semana de tour por Galicia; despues de tanto tiempo de no poder movernos con la pandemia, era ya una necesidad.

Gran composicion con la impresionante Piramide del Sol y estas mas pequeñas en el primer plano, que gran cantidad de gente ascendiendo a su cima, que supongo dará unas estupendas vistas.
Magnífico POV, con hermosos colores naturales, muy buena iluminacion y una excelente nitidez.
Que disfrutes del fin de semana.
