Photographer's Note
This religious complex is one of the leading examples of the Plateresque style in America. Its construction began in 1524, with a small Franciscan church built under the direction of Fray Andrés de Olmos. Some years later the Franciscans were replaced by the Augustinians in the evangelization of the region, therefore these who had much more economic and political resources began, in 1539, the construction of a convent and a much more sumptuous church. The works concluded in 1560.

Hi Pedro
The belltower at left is nicely framed by the fg tree at right. Good sharpness with a soft, diffused light. Natural looking colour and well framed and composed. Tfs!

Hola Pedro,
The 16th century convent edifice looks more as a castle, well kept and has an imposing gate to it.
A picture taken from a fair distant perspective to include its whole, well done.
Buen dias,

Hi Pedro,
Quite an interesting architecture indeed.
Nice asymmetric presentation. I like how the gate stands out from the rest of the structure.
Very well done,

Hello Pedro,
The details of the church stand out really starkly and it took me a moment to understand why; there is no greenery!
We almost always have greenery surrounding religious buildings.
Your details clearly show where all the decoration is placed. Even the building is a different colour at this point.
A nice off-centre composition.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Pedro,
A good photo of this old church complex. The silhouettes of the trees make a good contrast with the white walls. The composition is also well balanced.

Hi Pedro
An interesting photo of the old convent, a little soft in focus even in the large version but still very effective.

Hola Periko.
Magnífico conjunto arquitectonico el de esta iglesia y convento anexo, curioso el contraste del encalado con la bonita portada en su piedra original.
Muy bien captado. Me gusta
Disfruta de un estupendo fin de semana.
