Photographer's Note

Just an hour or so away from Cabo San Lucus on the Pacific Ocean side of the Baja peninsula is another world. The coastal mountains capture the rain clouds providing water to grow crops, the waves pound against the shore and there is not a time-share in sight. We visited on Sunday and most of the villagers were here in the church, Santa Rosalia. Tables set up by the door provided refreshments for the worshippers. Across the street from the church the Santa Fe Cafe provided the best brushetta I've ever eaten. The rare tuna was accompanied by an assortment of tender young organic vegetables from the nearby fields. In spite of the continental menu; the place seemed to be run by locals.

I really couldn’t decide which photo to post, my spouse picked one of these as best, my grand-daughter the other. The broader view was a difficult shot trying to avoid the ever-present utility wires,
