Photographer's Note

A gray whale approaching to our boat, in Ojo de Liebre lagoon.
These 15 metres long mammals, friendly to humans, travel 12 000 kilometres from the Bering sea until Baja California peninsula. They arrival, in the winter, is progressive; the pregnant females arrive first to give birth to their whale calves in a safe environment. The males arrive later along with the young ones and the females in heat, which will become pregnant in the lagoons in order to give birth during the next season, when they return to our seas.
