Photographer's Note
This is a straight shot. Can you figure out what you're looking at?
Ok, the foreground (bottom) strip of blue is the edge of an "infinity pool" in the resort hotel I stayed at in Baja, North of Ensenada. The pool went right to the edge of the cliff that the hotel was perched on.
As I reclined on a deck chair and watched a little motor boat go by in the distance, my eyes caught this composition. The next time a boat went by, I composed with a tele lens (and later cropped/straightened further in Photoshop) to get this odd abstract composition. I like it. What do you think?

I think it's really great. The way the image is cut up almost exactly into three - it looks like a flag on the thumbnail, and the contrast between the two surfaces of water is really interesting. Thanks!

Hi Sam,
fascinating shot! I like the straight layers colored in different shades of blue. The black bar and the boats are eyecatchers!
