Photographer's Note

Canadian Parliament buildings in Ottawa, Ontario. The main building on Parliament Hill is called Centre Block, which includes the Peace Tower. Inside, the House of Commons and the Senate reside. Visitors can witness sessions, or go to the top of the tower for a bird's-eye view of the capital.

In the foreground is the Centennial Flame, which has been burning continuously since Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson lit the fire in 1967 to commemorate Canada's 100th anniversary as a sovereign nation.
