Photographer's Note

It was a bit after I took this shot that I saw this photographer at the end of the day. He came just for the vast sunset, with his tripod, advising me to carry one with me too, if I want any reasonable results. I hardly ever use mine. Perhaps my predilection for spontaneous moments like this one (which I might not be able to catch if I fussed with my tripod, yet which might be more in focus if I did;) propells me to "travel light". But I enjoyed the obvious passion with which he was setting up his equipment and his meteorological prowess with which he forecasted the approaching movement of the evening clouds he was about to shoot at the closing of that freezing winter day.
