Photographer's Note

At the end of last year, during a walk, I noticed these to me curious patterns, approximately 2 meters long, on the surface of the lake. I had no way of knowing which animals left them, but these markings have kept me wondering and weaving all sorts of scenarios as to what could have taken place. They may have started out together, with their paths diverging at a point. Yet then, what was that point, and why exactly there, that they halted, and left no more footprints closer to the middle of the frozen lake?

I thought of us then, of our paths, of our markings on the earth, and wondered about the same...

(This shot is as is, no b/w conversion, it's all in its original colours. Unfortunately, my patience did not yield any animals entering the frame)
