Photographer's Note

What's interesting is how a simple change in shutter speed can so dramatically effect the results in moving water. This Tamahi River moves along at a good clip, and from adjusting various shutter speeds and 25 plus shots there were two photos that really caught my eye. I love the twirl effect in the waves in this and the upswing in the flow. My first posting has a 1/4 second shutter speed. So the next time you are near a river where the rocks in the riverbed make the water dance try out these shutter speeds and see what happens. Get back to me I would like to see the results. Cheers and enjoy!
