I took this shot early in the morning before the large groups of tourists arrived on this beautiful lake in the Canadian Rockies.

From a Raw photo, cropped and contrast altered in Photoshop.

I'm kind of surprised to find mountain lakes of this size comparatively calm... Very seldom that happens here in Norway...
Lovely colours, and I appreciate the way light is playing with the summit in the background!

Amazing clarity Doug. The photo has an incredible quality. That Nikon thing really cast some wonderful spells. Love the blues that shine through your entire frame. The composition is very good and that reflexed mountain out of this world. Love the touch of orange given by the little life-savers. A great photo!

Early morning light can't be beaten for good quality photos as evidenced by your image. The reflections are superb on the still water and the light/shade contrasts on the boat make it as 3D. If I was nit-picking I would maybe suggest standing further back to include the whole boat reflection if possible. Nevertheless this is a wonderful shot.

Fantastic photo, Doug, great composition with a clear frame division to the foreground boat and the background mountain with its reflection, and these two parts are nicely delineated by the line of trees. Very nice colours, especially I like the orange/blue combination of the boat. Very good clarity and light.

This is perfect example of reflection photography. The whole composition is so much balanced here... sharpness and color are excellent.. Great shot.
