Photographer's Note
Guildwood, often called "Guildwood Village", is a neighbourhood in Toronto and located along the Scarborough Bluffs. The Scarborough Bluffs are an escarpment in Scarborough, Ontario along the shoreline of Lake Ontario. The Guild is a unique facility encompassing several historic buildings including the Guild Inn inside a public park. Guildwood Park forms a naturalized frame around the formal Guild Inn Gardens and several other historic structures. Surrounding these buildings are more than 70 architectural fragments and sculptures within the formal gardens.
And happy Canada Day today!

Hi Alana
Firstly, happy Canada Day. I remember spending Canada Day in Montreal in 2003 when I attended the Annual Jazz Festival there. What a time that was!
Great shot and a dramatic sky. The angle of view is very dramatic and the slanted flowers are a great feature. I've been to Scarborough many times and know this location well. Thanks for bringing back good memories.
Cheers

Hi
The point of view is unusual but the most incredible issue here is the sky. I wish I had this kind of sky in each my picture and I'm sure I wouldn't be bored.
Great picture.

Very impressive...what do you do to get such wild skys? Are you burning them in? Very nice and interesting perspective. How do you like your Sigma lens? I've thought long and hard about getting one...I'm stuck in a loop comparing it to the Nikon 12-24mm version.
Nice picture...very stunning.

Hi Alana,
I like your photographic work very much. All your shots are awesome in terms of composition, color and post-processing. You're an artist for sure. I choose this one for the dramatic sky and for the unusual point of view. I am glad to see the image quality you got from your Sigma lens...I will probably buy one soon.
But the equipment here is second, what amazes me more is your talent as a photographer and the originality of your shots. You're one of my favorites !
Best regards.

Alana I love your work and the amazing sharpness and strong colours you achieve. However I'm deducting a point here for the very clumsy PP work to the left there, where the sky abruptly changes from a dark blue to a light blue where you've obviously lightened up your foreground. Amazed nobody else has pointed that out. But then, I shouldn't be, because, after all, this is Trekearth...
