Photographer's Note

We are looking due north past the painted steel sculpture "Ribbon of Friendship", by artist Yin Xiaofeng, situated in the green space next to the Art Gallery of Windsor. This is the only place in North America where this geographical anomoly has the United States north of Canada.

The art gallery is situated in the city of Windsor Ontario (population 200,000) and lies opposite the city of Detroit Michigan (population 950,000). Separating the two cities and two nations is the mile wide (1.6 km) Detroit River whose international boundary runs midway between it's banks.

The city of Windsor has been deemed the "sculpture capital" of Canada and I will venture to show more of these exhibits as time permits.
