Photographer's Note

On our way to Anticsoti Island we stopped over at the Reford Gardens which are located near the town of Grand Métis. An avid gardener Elsie Reford dedicated herself to developping her garden from 1926 to 1959 which extended over more than 40 acres by the end of her life. Today, it is home to more than 3,000 species and varieties of native and exotic plants. The property stretches along more than one kilometre of the shores of the St. Lawrence River.
