Corner Offices

Of course walking around in downtown Calgary, like in many other North American cities, means looking up a lot at the tall glass façades of the many high-rise buildings, especially at intersections this can be interesting when the towers on four corners can be seen together. I posted a similar photo earlier from Seattle.

This photo was taken on the intersection of 5th Avenue and 1st Street, not far away from where I took this photo and it also features some of the same buildings.

The towers in this photo are:
- Upper right hand corner: Bow Valley Square 2 (143 m, completed in 1981) and right behind it Brookfield Place (247 m [tallest in Calgary], completed in 2017)
- Bottom right hand corner: Suncor Energy Centre West (215 m, completed in 1984)
- Bottom left hand corner: TransCanada Tower (177 m, completed in 2001)
- Upper right hand corner: Fifth Avenue Tower East (132 m, completed in 1981)
