Photographer's Note

"Rain, rain go away, come again another day..."

Yes, it's a rainy season right here, it pours down water day and night, an umbrella is a must at hand, never enough to think of sunny and warm summer days. As for me after a recent visit to Kona Island, I feel overwhelmed by the wet condition back in the mainland.

This shot was created in a small plaza where someone got an idea to decorate the ceiling with several colourful real umbrellas. The composition looks, even more, relaxing while standing down there because of the walls of the entrance hall are filled with mirror tiles, which multiplies the number of umbrellas in reflection.

The only encouraging thing about these grey days is the sound of the masterpiece from Michel Legrand.
