Photographer's Note

The Bata Shoe Museum opened in Toronto in 1995, I visited it for the first time a few days ago, and I will go back again soon. It is a very interesting place. On this picture I show 5 of the more than 13 000 items in their collection. On the top there is a pair of shoes of Pope Benedict XV, who was the Pope from 1914 to 1922, next to it the boots of the leader of Yoruba people in Nigeria is shown. The architecture of the building is also impressive, the noted Japanese-Canadian architect, Raymond Moriyama designed it. I put an outside view of the building into the Workshop.
