Photographer's Note

The clouds gathered from over the ocean.
But for this moment the city held on to the sun,
embracing the friend that was leaving for the winter.

This pic (which is the first of five in my "Rainy Day" Series) was taken from the Vancouver Community College during a morning walk awhile back. The downtown core could be seen in the distance, luckily there was an opening in the cloud cover for me to get this shot.

It's strange (well for me at least), but summer ended rather ubruptly this year. About halfway through August the sun disappeared and the clouds and rain came.

So this is Vancouver huh? ;-)

Anyways, I'm not too sure about what to expect now. It's been really cool (verging on cold) this September. Now I'm a Toronto boy and am used to the cold... BUT IN SEPTEMBER??? Damn.

I'm told that the winter basically consists of -5 to 5 C weather with rain, rain, rain.

Post-pro: convert to b/w, levels, curves, sharpening.
