Photographer's Note

As I have said a lot lately, with my son I don't the the opportunity to get out and shoot much anymore.

This was one of those rare times when I got out, all by myself, and with a specific purpose. This is a new condo building in downtown Vancouver, only about 1 year old. Its been on my to-photograph list at blue hour for a while now.

One of the next things I want to do is fly my drone over top of it because there are rooftop pools up there - I think that would be an amazing view of the city and the building.

This building is so unique with its twisting curve, and depending which angle you're looking at it, the twist is even more pronounced...that's why I chose this pov.

I used my tripod here, and just to prove how long its been since I've done this...I had totally forgotten how much I need a new tripod. My camera fell off three times! It won't lock on, and one of the legs is broken. I still managed to get my shot with a bit of creativity and ingenuity. The time lapse is about 8 seconds long, to get the trailing red and white car lights.

I bought a new tripod today online...much needed.
