Another shot from Vancouver Islands rugged West Coast.

This HDR image is a combination of about 4 different shots that were merged in Photoshop CS3. I like the resulting silky feel to the water and the seagull sitting on the right hand side.

great pic this Dan, nicely done! That water colour change and contrasting textures with the rocks in the foreground and smooth ocean...awesome.

Hey Dan,

Great shot with such beautiful colors and details. I like the exposure on the water with the silky look and the wave rolling up. The seagull on the rock is nice little detail. You have managed the light well and I like the HDR result here! Great work, Dan!

It's a bit of a strange effect, doing a merge of 4 photos of an action type scene, with the waves coming in. It works really well on the big wave, less so down on the lower left, which looks kind of confused and busy. I like the idea though, and it's really great to see people experimenting and trying new stuff. Good work!

Hello dan,
je sens les embruns jusqu'ici,le pp en hdr donne des couleurs un peu particulières au rochers,ce qui m'étonne c'est la couleur de l'eau qui garde un teint gris sur sa majorité.

Hi, Dan,

I love the composition, although I'm not so sure about the "silkified" water. I know that's the popular post-op thing to do to a photo, and maybe I'm too much of a realist; I prefer the harsh brutality of the ocean crashing into rock.. It's a gorgeous, rugged place, merciless and beautiful. The rocks are exquisite and I love that luscious slice of blue-green. (Oh! yes, there's the bird...)
