Sand Tree, a photo from British Columbia, Western

Photographer's Note

Restless sea waves, lost on shore between rocks and sand, are desperately searching the way back to sea by drawing the curves of their return.
It was taken on Long Beach - Tofino - a small fishing village on the west coast of Vancouver Island , which has become a favored destination for travelers from around the world (and that makes it very crowded during the summer months)- but it’s a starting point for many outdoor activities like: hiking, sea kayaking, hot springs trips, whale and wildlife watching (we were not very lucky with whales), surfing, storm watching (during the winter).
The photo was originaly B&W - not properly developed by the store so I changed the mode to grayscale, I cropped it and adjusted the brightness.

Love the title, and I rather like this shot. I've added it to the group theme Lonly Trees. Well done for seing such a good composition.

Interesting idea with good result. Like your composition. Wonder though what it would have looked like in color. Wasn't the coral colorfull?

lovely sight of nature and well spotted , although image is a little soft could do with a small amount of selective sharpening and contrast masking to get more from the sand detail , thanks for posting

This photo pleases me, I find it consisted well and this tree of sand is magnificent. The technique of the B&W is made a success. Bravo!

Well seen! A different kind of fractal. I like the composition, but the rock is very sharp and stands out a bit too much IMO. Don't know how to fix that but I think if it could be softened in some way the picture would be more balanced.

beautiful image. reminds me an email friends work nice texture on the left to highlight the sand tree. possibly may need a hit of contrast but otherwise this is a very nice abstract.
