Photographer's Note

Near Telegraph Cove, in Vancouver Island, during summer many killer whales congregate in the calm waters of Johnstone Strait. Organized tour to spot them, which last few hours, are a must if you visit this area.
The whole area is very beautiful and wild, and also grizzly bears, bold eagles, and other marine mammals can be seen.
Here you can see one of the several whales we saw during the tour, spraying water when it comes out to breath.
I have taken this picture with a Nikon F70, and a 70-300 zoom.
The scan is from an Ektachrome VS colors slide.
