Photographer's Note

Simon Fraser University in honour of the explorer Simon Fraser who explored the river now also bearing his name. The buildings were designed by the famous architect, Arthur Erickson, and though students often like the say that this concrete empire on top of Burnaby mountain presses students to throw themselves off the cliff it certainly is an impressive work. Though I'm not sure of the validity of the claim, someone once told me that from the sky, the campus was shaped like a key in a symbolic nod to the suggestion that our education is the key to our future.

This is a shot towards the northwest from the pond located in the center of the Academic Quadrangle. Unretouched, the skys are so blue as I used a polarizer.
