Jasper Lake, a photo from Alberta, Prairies

Photographer's Note

We had to pass Jasper Lake to reach the town where the garage was to repair our camper (the water pump was broken). Looking back it was not too bad to have a broken vehicle - otherwise we had never seen this wonderful scene. On the way back to Jasper (two hours later) the scene was totally different and (nearly) not worth a photo!

It's a wonderful landscape ! Very beautiful shot with all these clouds in the sky and their reflections in the water... Nice colors and good idea to put this wood part in the first plan.

Thank you the dead water pump. The sky reflected in the lac added to the vertical orientation of the picture gives the feeling of flying in the sky. Really great light. The presence of the dead tree is very important too. Otherwise it would have been too symetric.
