Photographer's Note
Yesterday we took a short trip to the Writing On Stone Provincial Park, about 1 1/2 hours drive from our place. Climbing around in the Hoodoos, we took a lot of pictures, then went back to the car to have refreshments and to check the pictures out. For some reason, all memory on my camera had disappeared (roughly 100 images). So I re-formatted the card and we went back climbing again, retaking pictures. Adjusted in levels and curves, downsized.

Very nice! I love to see hoodoos but I didn't kow we also had them in the southern end of the province. Nice picture indeed and the light is very good. I think your angle is very good as you managed to create a short sequence of hoodoos in the foreground. Nice work Otto.

Hi Otto,
What a painful should had it be to know that the 100 pics were gone!
But you were fortunate enough to realize it quickly and have time and still good light to came back and retook it.
I like so much this crisp and clear image of this rock formations.
Love the contrast made by the earth tones and the blue sky.
Well done and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hi Otto,
Good to hear that you could retake at least some of the pictures you lost. I hope the rest were not to valuable for you. I love your shot of these rock formations your composition with two nearest columns dominating the seen is really good. Very nice lighting as well. I guess this could be an absolutely wonderful place in early morning or evening light. Have a nice Sunday.
Cheers,
Ulf

Hello Otto,
It is interesting how nature creates its own sculptures!
The textures of the rocks are well captured, with fine natural colours...
I like the composition, and there is a good feeling of depth in the image!
