Photographer's Note
Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies.During the summer, significant amounts of glacial rock flour flow into the lake, and these suspended rock particles give the lake a bright, turquoise color. This picture has been taken from Bow Summit, the highest point on the Icefield Parkway. Amazing!

Hi Luca!
I suppose the measure of a good landscape photograph is how much it makes the viewer want to go to the place. And all I can say is I want to go there this instant!
The wide U-shaped valley and the magnificent lake offer a striking beauty...
cheers,
biswaroop
PS: you might want to consider investing in a Polarizing filter. It will make a marvelous effect on the sky, not to mention cutting glare and enhancing color. It's certainly more useful than a UV filter.

Hello Luca
I have recently also posted an image of Peyto Lake. However we never saw the brilliant turquoise colour that dominates your scene. Just a few weeks ago it was still partially frozen over. Lucky you!
Cheers, Marlene
