Photographer's Note
To reach the more famous Maligne Lake you have to drive along the other side of this lake, Medicine Lake, under a very steep ridge line. As with most Rocky Mountain lakes the water is an amazing blue.
This lake is a little unusual in that its outlet is via an underground stream.

Hi dear Ian
The blue tones of the lake are stunning and from their colour make me think that the lake is a glacial one, as one sees in NZ. The colours contrast so well with the yellow trees at the foot of the mountain and the diagonal textures on the rock face itself are exceptional. Great work, how lucky you were to be able to see this magical place.
Have a good weekend

Hi Ian,
spectacular series of photos from Canada.
I am really impressed. Great capture here with extraordinary and yet natural colors. The river with its color is my favourite part of the composition.
Excellent work!
