Another photo from along the Icefields Parkway.
This is Leach Lake north of Athabasca Falls. The low forested area is an island. This is yet another lake that isn't far from the road.
If you are ever considering driving along the Icefields Parkway (and I strongly recommend that you do if you get a chance) remember that it is closed each year from November to April. Chains are required once you get much into October. We just managed to avoid having to have chains.

A very lovely location, so very appealing all the way from the f/g to the majestic mountains with wonderful clarity and depth. A joy to view that the waters provide for wonderful almost mirror reflections. Superb capture

Looks a bit like Mitre Peak in Milford Sound. Good fg reflections with an impressionist reflection further back where the wind is ruffling the water. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
A marvellous scenery with fantastic reflections. Only the leaning tree in the foreground disturbs the composition a bit. Didn't you bring a chainsaw? ;-)

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is shwoing the details of the lake and of the mountains. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

breath taking scenery indeed.
Here I like in particular the original geometry. With the triangles of the mountains making a repeated motif and also doubled by the reflection.
I like how you have placed the trees which diagonally fits the pattern made by the mountains.

The rounded outline of the forested hills make a lovely contrast with the grey of the mountains and the silvery coloured water.

these big pyramidal mountains are impressive. I liked the reflections and the patterns in the face of the mountain at left. nice view of this amazing place.

I want to enjoy Canada's Mother Nature someday. It's so beautiful. Canada is colder than Australia. I wonder how you traveled.
