Photographer's Note
I use to bike to work last year and sometimes this was the light I got in the morning.I took my time, installed the 10 stops filter and took a few 30 seconds shots.
The light was so awesome that it really was hard to take a bad shot that morning.
Thanks for stopping by,
Nelu

Hi Nelu!
Lovely light that morning for sure! And a nice affect with your darkening filter. I use it for waterfalls, but would never think to use it here; well done indeed, achieving the wonderful affect on the lake and the fountain. Some beautiful light on the buildings also, and the 5D MarkII and the 17-40 are a powerhouse combination! Good to have you back, fine work, warm regards,
Steve

Hello Nelu,
You take a great point of view, the stones on the
forground creates an extra nice depth in this
picture. The great composition and the longer
exposure makes the picture nice calmness. The
great light managemnet shows every detail (no
hard shadows and overlighted pieces)...Great work.
Friendly regards,
Robert

Hello Nelu,
A delightful scene, with great depth and, as you note, a most beautiful light.
Your slow exposure has produced an effect on the water, like thin ice. Quite beautiful!
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Nelu,
View of downtown on a fabulous morning light collected well with the 30sec exp.
Excelent depth from small rocks/stones in FG, till the high=rises on BG, light was really exquisite at moment taken.
Maybe just an over-glare on water's in fountain (long exp.), but altogether an overwhelming sight.
Regards
Ike

hi nelu,
this is a superb picture. the composition is perfect, with the foregroung rocks, the fountain, and then the beautifully lit buildings. excellent sharpness and use of a slow shutter speed to create the still water effect.

Bonsoir Nelu,
La lumière est vraiment incroyable, ainsi que les reflets. On dirait presque qu'il y a une légère couche de glace sur l'eau. C'est une superbe photo, très réussie.

Hi Nelu:
Welcome back! Fantastic one here. You can't beat that 5D and its colors. :) I love that early morning light and particularly the light of the fountain. The long exposure is also fantastic for the dreamy effect on the water. This is a heck of a shot. The only thing I would have done differently: I'm not a huge fan of the cut-off rock at the bottom right. It's the only thing that somewhat detracts from the image, in my opinion. But that's it. Otherwise, this is fantastic.
