Photographer's Note

Spring is teasing us here, in Calgary. This is the characteristic “Chinook cloud” in this photo taken at sunrise, in my neighborhood, Tuscany, NW Calgary.
For a few days the weather spoiled us and it felt really good but now it`s back to “normal”: snow and minus two degrees Celsius at noon.
Being warm and dry, the Chinook wind is also very convenient for the City because they don`t have to pay for snow removal. With the wind, 20cm of snow are gone in a day easily.
As I said, I took the shot at sunrise and no post-processing has been done except for exporting for web directly from Capture One 5.1 (see the exif data for more details).
I thought for a second to remove the power pole in Photoshop but I changed my mind as it looks a bit like a giraffe:)
